Cake Thai (Finally) Makes Its Wynwood Debut Today

The wait is over

Javier Ramirez/GourmandJ

After months and months of anticipation, Cake Thai has officially opened the doors to its Wynwood spot according to chef Phuket Thongsodchareondee’s Instagram.

Starting at noon today, the 1,300-square-foot location will open its doors serving the same cuisine its North Miami counterpart became known for. This new space features seating for 30 plus air conditioning and a bathroom (features the first location didn’t have). It also will have a beer and wine list, focusing on beverages that pair well with Thai food like riesling, sake and champagne.

As for the North Miami location of Cake Thai — which has officially dropped the “kitchen” from its name — we’re told by partner Javier Ramirez it will get a rebrand in the next two months so it will be more inline with the Wynwood outpost, but intends to stay open serving the same menu.

The Cake Thai Wynwood is located at 180 NW 29th Street and is open from noon to midnight Monday to Saturday, with weekend late nights and Monday service in the pipeline. Call 305-573-5082 for more info.
