New York’s Famous Halal Guys Heads to South Florida

And you better believe that white sauce is coming, too.

Halal Guys’ line in New York City
Halal Guys

Like most things in New York, eventually it will make way to South Florida and the latest NYC import is Halal Guys, heading to the Tower Shops in Davie at 2268 South University Drive next month, according to the Miami New Times.

The almost 30-year-old concept has a cult-like following in the city that never sleeps for its popular gyros, falafel, and chicken and rice platters, and its famous white sauce, drawing lines that would run upwards of 30 minutes for its cuisine. Originally a food stand, it drew such crowds that it grew into a brick-and-mortar location in 2014 with locations not only in New York but in cities like L.A., Austin, Seattle, Chicago and even Canada and Asia.

With aspirations of becoming the “Chipotle of Middle Eastern food,” it will open up several locations in the South Florida area including another one in Pembroke Pines. No word on a 3-0-5 locale just yet, but stay tuned for more updates.
