If you’re heading to Brickell City Centre to pick up gifts, you’ll have two new dining options to fuel up on afterword. Opening today are two new concepts from Grove Bay Hospitality Group: South African eatery Big Easy Winebar & Grill by Ernie Els and the fast-casual dining concept American Harvest.
Big Easy Winebar is a South African import, doting famed golf-star Ernie Els as its celebrity backer. The 5,600-square-foot space features the largest collection of South African wines in the area and serves a menu created by its executive chef – and native South African -- Maryna Frederiksen. Expect a variety of familiar and not-so-familiar dishes like the meats cooked on the traditional braai grill, duck curry, slow roasted lamb shank “bunny chow” and grilled Nigerian prawns. The space is also equipped with a full bar and lounge, serving up an assortment of different cocktails.
Right next door sits American Harvest, focusing on a fast-casual, Americana-style menu. The 1,600-square-foot farmhouse inspired space features quick and easy dishes like sandwiches, salads, veggie-based bowls along with its own proprietary sodas. And to celebrate the grand opening, American Harvest will offer the first 50 guests lunch on the house each day from Thursday, December 22 through Saturday, December 24, 2016.
Big Easy Winebar & Grill by Ernie Els is located at 701 South Miami Avenue, Suite 339 and is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Call 786-814-5955 for more information.
