As if Lee Schrager wasn't busy enough planning next week's South Beach Wine and Food Festival, he also managed to squeeze in time to co-author another cooking book, this time dedicated to all things breakfast. The book titled America's Best Breakfasts, comes out April 5 and showcases classic and not-so-classic dishes from coast to coast, hand selected by Schrager himself.

In honor of Breakfast Week here at Eater, we asked the party planning king — and now breakfast expert — which places he considers Miami's go-to spots for the most important meal of the day.

Buena Vista Deli

"Anyone who follows me on social media knows Buena Vista Deli is one of my favorites, and their quiche lorraine is in my book. They are probably doing something at the festival."

Jimmy's Eastside Diner

Threefold Cafe

Canvas Connect

"Since I moved South to the Gables I love Threefold. They have a short rib or brisket omelette that is delicious. So is their avocado toast."

Chocolate Fashion

"They have a great ham and cheese panini."

Eating House

"His [Giorgio Rapicavoli's] french toast is in the book and that's exactly what I get every time I'm there."
