Top Chef alums and former chefs of Gigi Yardbird Southern Table & Bar and currently of NYC’s Root & Bone, Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth, have officially opened the doors to their latest concept, The Sarsaparilla Club inside the Shelborne Wyndham Grand hotel.
Taking over the former Morimoto space, the 130-seat restaurant will be serving a menu filled with American "dim sum." So what exactly does that mean? Expect a merge of traditional dim sum flavors with more familiar American comfort food dishes like beet and short rib filled dumplings and steamed buns with pork belly bacon, served by Dim Sum carts. A la carte options will also be available that feature a more Asian influences like green curry chicken and rock shrimp laksa.
The restaurant is now open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner with brunch service in the works 305-341-1400.
