On the heels of its fifth anniversary, the team behind The Local Craft Food & Drink have announced that they are expanding their comfort food reach with a new restaurant concept focusing on all things BBQ called The Local ‘Q.
The restaurant’s executive chef Phillip Bryant will be manning the kitchen at the Local ‘Q, with it featuring a menu of "casual, no fuss barbecue." A lease hasn’t been signed yet but we’re told the team is currently looking for a space in Coral Gables and hopes to open the restaurant this year.
If you want to get a sneak peek of the concept the restaurant is doing a with a pop-up preview at the final installment of Coral Gables’ Giralda Under the Stars tomorrow, April 1 from 7 p.m. – midnight with items on hand like dry rubbed spare ribs, smoked pulled pork and pastrami spiced chicken wings.
