The Team Behind River Oyster To Open a Poké Restaurant in Wynwood This October

Taking its talents to a new neighborhood

Chefs David Bracha and Curtis Rhodes, the culinary team behind Brickell's The River Oyster Bar, announced today they will be debuting a new fast casual, poké concept dubbed Local Boy Poké in Wynwood this fall. Slated to open later this year the cuisine will be the first restaurant of its kind in the area to be devoted solely to the Hawaiian dish, where Rhodes was born and raised. The menu will feature a variety of spins on the poké dish like the classic variation filled with Ahi tuna to more untraditional types made with fried beef, salmon, or pork belly, topped on things like rice and quinoa. The restaurant will be giving a sneak preview of its menu this weekend at the Wynwood Life festival, where it will have a booth.
