Macaroni and Cheese Is King at the Now Open I Heart Mac & Cheese

Cheese lovers, this one is for you. This past week, chef Michael Blum officially opened the doors on his newest creation, the appropriately named: I Heart Mac & Cheese, which specializes in — you guessed it — macaroni and cheese.

The fast-casual style restaurant is set up in assembly-line style, akin to Chipotle. Guests make their way down the line choosing from a variety of pastas, including gluten free, along with 14 different types of cheese, proteins and add ins like cheetos and chicarrons. If making decisions isn’t exactly your thing five "composed options" are also available to order.

Besides the cheesy stuff, the menu also offers other build-your-own items like mashed potato crips and salads, in case you want to go the healthy route at a macaroni and cheese restaurant. To cap off your light meal, cookie dough cones are available for dessert that can be filled with a variety of different ice cream flavors like peanut butter overload and Heath Bar express.

I Heart Mac & Cheese is now open in the Southport Shopping Center at 1489 SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information call 954-533-4195.
