Last month, Jorgie Ramos and the team behind popular Kendall eatery Barley announced its latest concept: Faith & Pizza. Located just a few doors down from the currently-under-renovations Barley, it serves up pizza and oysters with a side of giving back. As a refresher, the restaurant teamed up with its tenant Downtown Dadeland and will donate all the profits of the restaurant to three charities for the first six months. Downtown Dadeland is matching that by covering the rent during this time.
Positioned to be the laid-back sister restaurant of Barley, it features a menu of pizzas, like short rib and kale and clam casino topped pies, an extensive raw bar along with plenty of bites that once made an appearance at Barley like its bone marrow and mac and cheese. To drink it boasts wine one tap and lots of craft beers.
Currently the restaurant is open dinner every Tuesday through Sunday with a weekend brunch and possible lunch menu in the works. And if the restaurant does well, Ramos hints that it may become more than a six month stint. Stay tuned for updates.
