Popular Bay Area-based dessert shop, CREAM — short for Cookies Rule Everything Around Me — officially opens its first Florida outpost in Aventura this weekend at 19719 Biscayne Blvd. The shop has made a name for itself out west for its mix-and-match ice cream sandwiches that can be prepared with 20 ice cream flavors and 16 cookie flavors and as many as 15 toppings including vegan and gluten-free options. If that isn’t your thing, CREAM also has milkshakes, floats, malts, scoops of ice cream, and other baked goods, such as "The Cream Taco," a waffle cone shaped like, you guessed it, a taco. This is the first of 30 locations the franchise plans to open in Florida in the upcoming years, so be on the lookout for one in your neighborhood soon. And if you want to snag one for free head to the shop for a free ice cream sandwich from 2 to 9 p.m on May 7.
