Taste of the Nation 2016 is Almost Here

Heading to Soho Studios June 17

This Friday, South Florida’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry returns for its 28th installment. This year’s event is taking it to mainland Miami, heading to Soho Studios at 2136 NW 1st Avenue from 6 to 10 p.m. on June 17.

More than 80 chefs from Miami-Dade and Broward county will be on hand serving up grub at the event, all for a good cause. Drinks, music and even a beer garden will also be on hand. Below is a sneak peak of 10 of the dishes that you will be able to get your hands on come Friday.

Beaker & Gray – rice noodles with bacon curry, chimichurri and fried shallots

Kuro - King crab, house-made salt and garlic butter

Wild Sea Oyster Bar & Grille – Chocolate Crunch – Hazelnut Feuilletine/Caramel Ganache/Dark Chocolate Mousse

Byblos – Braised Colorado Lamb Shoulder; Pickles, Sauces, House Lavash

The Forge – Coconut lobster bisque Garlic croutons, charred scallions

The Sarsaparilla Club – Steamed Pork Dumpling with Sarsaparilla Vinegar, Scallions and Peanuts

Izzy's Fish & Oyster – Clam Chowder Vichyssoise; Cauliflower, Chorizo Oil, Little Neck Clams, Basil

Dirt – Spring Vegetable Tartare with Florida Rock Shrimp English Peas, Carrot nibs, Sweet corn, Meyer Lemon Aioli, Florida Rock Shrimp, Micro Dill

The Fed - Sweet Plantain Tostada, cheshire pork cheek marmalade, queso fresco, garden herbs
