Rumours have been circulating for the past week or so that Iron Chef and Food Network personality, Alex Guarnaschelli, is no longer associated with her Miami Beach restaurant project, Driftwood Room inside the Nautilus South Beach hotel — and it looks like the rumors are indeed true.

The reps released the below statement exclusively to Eater Miami, saying:

Per the original agreement Alex was committed to the project for one year ending in October. After that time she’ll be focusing on her New York projects and won’t be affiliated with Driftwood Room. For the time being the menu and concept will remain the same.

Between now and October, Guarnaschelli will be consulting from New York City. No word on who will be replacing Guarnaschelli at the property, but we're told to be expecting an announcement on that very soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
