After roughly a year and a half of being open, Vagabond Restaurant & Bar will close its doors on July 3. When it reopens on July 5, just 48 hours later, it will emerge as Vagabond Kitchen & Bar, a new concept that will be no longer helmed by executive chef Alex Chang, reports the Miami New Times.
According to the article, Chang departed on good terms with the restaurant and some of his dishes might still make an appearance on the new Vagabond Kitchen menu. As for that concept, it will be spearheaded by Julien Géliot and Fabien Chalard of Plethore & Balthazar housed inside the Hilton Bentley in Miami Beach.
On Vagabond Kitchen's menu expect dishes like ponzu oysters, roast beef carpaccio, surf n' turf, cherry duck confit and spinach cavatelli. As for the bar it's getting "freshened up" complete with new bar snack offerings like tuna poke toast, pork belly buns and shrimp cocktail. Once the restaurant debuts it will serve lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. [Miami New Times]
