Soho Bay “Temporarily” Closes Yet Again

Old habits die hard

Last August, Brazilian sushi newcomer Soho Bay temporarily shut its doors due to surrounding construction in the area just three-months after it opened. It re-opened in October 2015, but it seems to have fallen to the construction woes yet again.

An Eater tipster, who was trying to make a reservation at the restaurant to no avail on OpenTable, sent us an email exchange between him and Soho Bay's general manager Max Heindl this morning where Heindl writes:

thank you very much for your email. unfortunately I have to inform you that we have decided to hibernate the restaurant for the next couple of month until all construction surrounding the restaurant is completed. we apologize for the inconvenience.

Upon calling the restaurant, a hostess confirmed to us that the restaurant indeed will be closed until November due to the construction. Emails to management haven’t been returned. Stay tuned for more updates.
