UberEats Drives Into Miami

Food at a touch of a button

Uber Eats

Throwing its hat into the ever-growing delivery market here is Uber, who officially launched UberEats in Miami as of 10 a.m. today. Right now more than 100 different restaurants are participating in the program that works quite a bit like Uber, but instead of getting rides you get food.

For a flat $4.99 fee you can get everything from Mandolin Aegean Bistro to Salty Donut delivered to your door from 8 a.m. to midnight daily (in accordance with the restaurant’s operating hours, of course).

Although it’s a different app then the one that takes you around different places, it still similar to style and user interface. But unfortunately like the early launch of most of these apps, only certain neighborhoods are covered with the currently delivery zone running from north Broward to downtown Miami and out east to Miami Beach.

UberEats now joins the market along with services like Amazon Prime, Caviar and Postmates all making restaurant deliveries daily.
