Alter Picked As One of Eater’s Best New Restaurants of 2016

21 restaurants across the country made the list

Alter

Today Eater’s restaurant editor and critic Bill Addison dropped his much anticipated list of the best new restaurants of 2016 — and Miami’s Alter made the cut.

Addison spends the year traveling from city to city, anonymously visiting restaurants around the country while reporting continuously on America’s dining culture. Addison visited multiple restaurants in each city — as well as cities not mentioned — to determine this year’s list. Miami was his last stop on his journey, with him making his visit just a few weeks back.

This is another achievement in a marquee year for the Wynwood eatery helmed by Brad Kilgore, which includes winning the title of Eater Miami's restaurant of the year and chef of the year, receiving two James Beard semi-finalist nominations, and most recently, Kilgore was picked as one of the country’s best new chefs by Food & Wine magazine.
