As most South Floridan’s know, getting to Sun Life Hard Rock Stadium to root on the Miami Dolphins can be somewhat of a difficult task. But Uber is looking to change that.
The ride sharing service has introduced the first of its kind "Uber Zone" tailgating areas at the stadium, according to the Miami New Times. For each game, 20 spots are held just for Uber riders where they can tailgate without having to bring a car. The spots start at $250 a pop, and go up depending on the popularity of the game.
The reserved Uber spot is equipped with a private 10 x 10 tent plus tailgating essentials like a table, a grill, and a cooler with ice. One round-trip fare on Uber — max $15 each way — is also included. Food and beverage is left to the tailgater, which they can either bring with them or buy, with items like burgers, hot dogs, hummus and beer for sale at an on-site provision store.
The tailgate area closes up shop 30 minutes after kick off, with designated locker area where tailgaters can drop off their non-pershiable items. Reservations must be made no later than Thursday before the home game. Book your reservation here.
