Fast Casual Pizza Chain MOD Pizza Plans Massive South Florida Expansion

50 stores coming our way

Seattle based, build-your-own-pizza, fast casual company MOD Pizza is coming to South Florida in a big way. The South Florida Business Journal reports that it is planning to open 20 to 25 locations in both South and Central Florida in the next seven years.

Backing the project is the team behind Lake Worth-based Hoffman's Chocolates, who has chocolate stores throughout the South Florida area. The first store is slated to open sometime in the beginning of 2017.  The pizza chain currently has 152 locations open across 18 states and the United Kingdom. In addition to pizza pies, the chain also serves salads, milkshakes, beer and wine.

No word on exactly where the first location will be. Stay tuned for more details.
