Today the newly revamped Diplomat Prime steakhouse makes its entrance back into Fort Lauderdale’s dining scene. The new look and feel of the restaurant are courtesy of a $100 million renovation of the Hollywood’s Diplomat Resort & Spa, and its the third restaurant to open in the property.
Leading the kitchen is Nicolay Adinaguev, who prior to Diplomat Prime was the executive chef at Steak 954 and Verde at PAMM. The menu has been “70 percent” changed from its previous incarnation, according to reps. On the (mostly) new menu expect dishes like prime beef aged in-house, a full raw bar and spruced up steakhouse sides like black truffle potatoes and caramelized onions.
The 108-seat restaurant features a beach-meets-steakhouse feel, along with a full bar program led by Willy Shine featuring a variety of classic cocktails, wine and beer.
Diplomat Prime is now open 5:30pm to 10:30pm, daily at 3555 S Ocean Dr in Hollywood. Call 954-602-6000 for more information.
