The vegetarian trend is certainly picking up steam in Miami. Last week we reported that a vegetarian gastropub was heading to South Beach, and now the Miami New Times reports that Atlas Meat-Free Deli will open its doors in Little River come early 2017 at 98 NE 79th Street.
Atlas has set up shop at the weekly Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood since 2014. On the menu are vegetarian spins on classic sandwiches sausage marinara, caprese and Rachel on rye, along with plant-based, meat-free products sold by the pound like cheese, salami and chorizo.
According to the New Times, the brick-and-mortar outpost’s menu will only undergo “some minor changes” with the addition of more weekly specials and a larger deli variety along with “weekly brunches, outdoor barbecues, live entertainment and even a weekly farmers' market.”
No official word on when the storefront will open, but it is eyeing to launch before the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in February.
