Mr. Worldwide — and Miami native — rapper Pitbull is bringing his talents to South Beach, this time in culinary form. The Real Deal Miami is reporting that the international rapper is set to open iLov305 restaurant inside the former Bon Air Hotel at 1060 Ocean Drive.
The space will be a full service restaurant and bar and will feature a cocktail lounge in the lobby, a daiquiri bar, and seating the extends from the first floor into the basement level. As for Mr. Worldwide’s actual involvement in the project, the spokesperson promises that "Pitbull and his team will be actively involved.” Dale.
The entire hotel is looking to get a facelift, helping restore it back to its original Art Deco, 1934 design with updated flooring, columns, and a complete restoration to the lobby and facade of the hotel.
However, this isn’t Pitbull’s first venture into the restaurant world. He’s an investor in the Miami Subs franchise and also owns a restaurant in the Dominican Republic called 305Sinco.
