For those still mourning the closure of the longstanding Miami’s Best Pizza — there is some good news to report: it’s officially making its return to the South Florida scene come next year.
After closing in January 2015 due to rising rent, the pizza restaurant has found a new home right by the University of Miami campus at 833 Ponce de Leon Blvd, which is close to another UM mainstay, Titanic Brewing, according to The Miami Herald.

The restaurant, which was a staple in the area since 1970, originally started as a Little Caesars franchise but transformed into Miami’s Best Pizza in the 90s when the owners decided not to renew their Little Caesars contract. It became a favorite of college kids and locals alike who enjoyed the fairly priced pizza, salads and more.
No official word on when the reopening might occur, but for now it is slated for Winter 2018. Stay tuned for more details.
