The famous China Grill space at 404 Washington Avenue is getting a new tenant come next month, because that’s when Lobster Bar Sea Grille will take over the space and make it its own.
Behind the concept is Buckhead Life Restaurant Group of Atlanta, Georgia, who own the popular Chops Lobster Bar and City Fish Market in Boca Raton and sister restaurant Lobster Bar Sea Grille in Fort Lauderdale.
Running the kitchen chef Arturo Paz, who was most recently at Cleo, along with Corporate Executive Chef Pano I. Karatassos. On the menu is the signature “live lobster experience” featuring up to four-pound lobsters up for grabs, grilled whole, sashimi, ceviche, tartares, house-cured salmon, French tarts, and for the carnivore lovers, plenty of steaks as well.
The notoriously massive space, which most recently held Siena Tavern, will be decorated in white herringbone subway tiled walls and arched ceilings, an ode to the Oyster Bar in New York City's Grand Central Station, plus two different private dining rooms that can accommodate 20 guests and 100 guests respectively. It’ll also feature a lounge with banquettes and booths, crystal chandeliers and a large white Carrara communal marble table that’ll give off the feel of “comfort of a luxury yacht.”
No official opening date has been set but when it does open it will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. For more information, call 355-377-2675.
