Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar Arrives, Phuc Yea Gets a Lounge and More New Restaurant Intel

SOUTH BEACHCraft Café is the new sister restaurant to South Beach’s A Fish Called Avalon. The cafe offers coffee, tea and specialty drink selections plus desserts and baked goods and Atlantic Ocean views. The space is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 700 Ocean Drive.

UPPER EAST SIDE — The team behind Phuc Yea have opened up a new cocktail lounge adjacent to the restaurant called the Lantern Garden. The space serves a variety of drinks, plus it features a Thursday late night happy hour from 9 to 1 a.m.

BRICKELL — Italian restaurant and lounge Level One has debuted in Brickell. The two-floor, 230 seat industrial urban space features cuisine by chef Ricardo Nieri like Cashew Crusted Prime Filet Mignon & Pumpkin Gorgonzola Risotto plus a variety of cocktails and live entertainment. The space is now open at 1110 South Miami Avenue, call 786-814-5816.

AVENTURA — Popular local juice and health concept, Dr. Smood, has opened the doors to its fourth location in Aventura Mall. The new location is located on Aventura Mall’s lower level near Bloomingdale’s and next to Apple and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.

SOUTH BEACH — Another New York import has arrived in Miami, this time it’s Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill. Housed inside the Plymouth Hotel the restaurant includes both an outdoor dining room and canopy-covered poolside dining, plus many of the restaurant’s classic dishes like the Fried Chicken and Oxtail Fried Rice, as well as sushi and sashimi options. BRICKELLLaMuse Café, a European inspired bistro, is officially open for business inside the Avant Gallery at the EPIC Hotel. The all-day set up offers coffees, pastries and other light bites in the morning, plus a more elaborate lunch and evening menu with a variety of tartines, croissant sandwiches dubbed “CroSub” and salads and quiches.
