As Florida’s culinary scene is heating up — and no, not in the weird way that we usually make headlines for — Eater Miami is looking to expand its roster of freelance writers to include those living and eating in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville. Of course, we are also looking for great new writers who are also Miami based.
Our ideal candidate is a proficient and resourceful writer who is disturbingly curious about every aspect of the their city’s restaurant world. From that new oyster bar down the street (no, not that one, the other one) to the latest, ludicrous twists on artisanal grilled cheese, you know what's up. No trend is too obscure, no development too banal for you to parse ad nauseum.
Write a paragraph about yourself and send a couple of clips (links are fine) to miami at eater dot com. If you have a personal blog, Tumblr, Twitter and/or Instagram include links to those as well. (Please note: this is NOT a restaurant critic job, we have critics on a national level but none on local sites.)
If we like what we see, we will be in touch.
Thanks.
