Matt Kuscher and his restaurant group, Kush Hospitality, are increasing their footprint on Coconut Grove when they debut Vicky’s House Milkshake Bar and Tasting Room next month.
Located at 3190 Commodore Plaza, right next door to their popular burger restaurant LoKal, the 12-seat shop will feature a variety of sweets inspired by 80s pop-culture favorites. Think a milkshake made with captain crunch cereal, Miami Smokers bacon, and a Salty Donut glazed doughnut, aptly named The Breakfast Club. Or a Golden Girls themed milkshake with a cream cheese frosting rim —a nod to their favorite dish: the cheesecake.

The menu also will feature Wynwood Parlor ice cream sandwiches, floats, a variety of Cuban coffee, wine and beer, plus a short but concise snack menu consisting of candied bacon, bacon jerky and popcorn. Every first Wednesday of the month, Vicky’s will also host tasting featuring local snacks and beers.
To add to the sense of nostalgia, the small shop is a recreation of Kuscher mother’s house circa 1986, who the space was named after. Kuscher tells Eater that since his mother never threw anything away, he was able to duplicate her entire kitchen from the floors, to the cabinets, to the wallpaper and even the chandeliers, all of which will make an appearance at Vicky’s.
Vicky’s House Milkshake Bar and Tasting Room is slated to open in the next 3-4 weeks. Check out the sample menu below and stay tuned for opening information.
