Vegan mega-chef Matthew Kenney just can’t seem to get enough of Miami. On the heels of the first anniversary of his Wynwood outpost of Plant Food + Wine, the chef has debuted his second concept inside the 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach. Called Plnthouse, it is a more casual spot to grab Kenney’s plant-based cuisine.
The 105-seat restaurant features both an indoor dining room and an outdoor deck with unobstructed ocean views. On the café-style menu expect a variety of salads, wraps, sandwiches and bowls plus of smoothies, juices, tonics and a “personalized” coffee and tea program. Think items like an eggplant bahni mi wrap, a garbanzo scramble, French lentil pate, a mushroom-based take on the Reuben sandwich and more. A cocktail, wine and beer lists are also available with a variety of organic offerings features organic with fresh garnishes, juices and mixers for the cocktails.
