Take a Look Around Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar, Little River’s Most Charming New Restaurant

A new restaurant and lounge from the co-founders of Morgans Restaurant, The Annex Wynwood and Acme Lounge has officially set up shop in Little River called Sherwood’s Bistro & Bar (8281 NE 2nd Avenue). Located across the street from The Citadel’s soon-to-be dining hall, it owes its namesake to the Sherwood Forest of El Portal.

Its bistro menu features family-style dishes from around the world like the ploughman platter and dandan noodles, while its starters range from bone marrow to labneh yogurt to a daily crudo. Its Magnolia Bar uses spirits that are sourced and bought from small batch companies, which are used to create modern twists on old-school classics drinks. On the weekends, the bar even hosts a jazz vocalist singing live.

Sherwood’s eclectic design showcases materials from around the world including bathroom fixtures from Belgium and tiles salvaged from the French embassy in Portugal. Housed in a historic bulding that has been completely renovated, its features themed art-filled rooms that are filled with antiques, large windows, and a massive outdoor patio and gathering space.
