GLAM Brings Fast-Casual Vegan Dining to Midtown

With global cuisine by Todd Erickson

Miami’s vegan options are few and far between, but newcomer GLAM is trying to change that. The fast casual restaurant — which is short of Green Living Animals Matter — offers a variety of world-inspired dishes that are meat and dairy free.

The menu created by Todd Erickson features cuisine from all over the globe. Think dishes like jackfruit-based “al pastor” tacos, watermelon poke and a cashew cheese platter as starters. For heartier dishes items opt for one of the sourdough flatbreads topped with pear and cashew ricotta or grain-bean Italian sausage. Bowls and pastas include options like chana marsala made with chickpeas, garam masala, and quinoa or the farro risotto featuring a cashew cream base. GLAM also offers a variety of salads, soups, shakes and pastas, and surprisingly decadent desserts, plus wines, beers and Nespresso coffee.

The space keeps with a “glam” theme, featuring a variety of black and gold decor, gold silverware and purple accents. It is now open daily from Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturday nights until 11 p.m. at 3301 NE 1st Avenue. Call 786-864-0590 for more info.
