Like most New Yorkers, Craftsman Lounge and Restaurant (900 South Miami Avenue) is coming to Miami for a limited time only. Starting today, the bar, lounge and sandwich spot, will take over the former Brother Jimmy’s location in Brickell for the next year.
The spot specializes in whiskey and bourbon cocktails that are paired with, believe it or not, sandwiches and wraps. Sandwich options include traditional Rubens, Cubans, crab rolls and cheesesteaks to the less traditional like The Elvis sandwich made with almond butter, fig jelly and slices bananas on gluten-free bread. For those in the mood for something lighter to pair with their whiskey, gluten-free and vegan options are available in a section dubbed Avocado Lovers, which features a whole slew of avocado options like Tex-Mex stuffed varieties, avocado toast and a vegan avocado sandwich.
The indoor/outdoor space features plenty of lounge seating both inside and out. And to celebrate its grand opening tonight, a portion of the night’s proceeds will benefit The Irma Caribbean Strong Relief Fund.
The Craftsman is now open seven days a week until 4 a.m., and will begin live music and entertainment beginning October 5.
