Nothing says holiday spirit more than, well, spirits. Such is the case with Miracle in Miami, a new Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar, debuting in the back of Gramps (176 NW 24th Street) from November 23 to December 24.
Miracle In Miami is inspired by Cocktail Kingdom’s Greg Boehm original pop-up, which debuted in New York City’s East Village in 2014. Since then, the concept has found its way to Montreal, London and now Miami courtesy of DRINK Miami in partnership with Gramps’ owner Adam Gersten.
The bar promises plenty of “holiday cheer” with staff decked in themed costumes, walls covered in garlands, tinsel and Christmas decorations and festive tunes playing all night. The bar also plans to host holiday-centric happenings over the next month with events like tacky Christmas sweater contests, Christmas karaoke, caroling performances, mistletoe photo booth, and guest bartender nights.
The cocktails menu is filled with holiday-themed drinks like the Gingerbread Flip (bourbon, gingerbread syrup, elemakule tiki bitters, whole egg, and gingersnap cookie crumbs), the Christmas Carol Barrel (rum, aquavit, amaro, pumpkin pie, lemon, orange, and bitters ) a prerequisite eggnog called the Jingle Balls Nog (brown butter fat-washed cognac, sherry, almond milk, cream, sugar, egg, and nutmeg), Naughty and Nice shots, and a special J Wakefield Brewing custom gingerbread-inspired imperial stout called Wicked Winter Brew. Drinks are served in custom Miracle glassware including Santa’s Pants mugs and reindeer Collins glasses, which are also available for sale.
The Miracle in Miami pop up is open daily from November 23 through December 23 from Sunday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday to 3 a.m. and will close at midnight on Christmas Eve.
