LIME Fresh Mexican Grill, the South-Florida-born fast-casual Mexican restaurant concept, has officially re-opened up in South Beach at 1439 Alton Road — at the same exact same location where the restaurant was originally launched way back in 2004. The 800-square-foot store is located at 1439 Alton Road in Miami Beach.
Unlike the original restaurant, which was owned by John Kunkel of 50 Eggs Group and sold to Ruby Tuesdays in 2012, the new location is owned and operated by Left Field Holdings, LLC, a Miami-based franchisee which currently owns four Lime restaurants in South Beach, Downtown Dadeland, Doral and West Kendall, with locations in Midtown Miami and in North Miami coming soon.
The restaurant, which made a name for itself in the early aughts, serves up a variety of of Mexican-inspired cuisine like guacamole, queso dip, nachos, tacos, burritos, salads, soups and margaritas.
To celebrate restaurant’s return to South Beach, this new location will go back to its roots by offering the original 2004 menu and pricing for two weeks, the original uniforms worn by the restaurant staff, and images will decorate the restaurant commemorating the people and events that defined 2004. The South Beach location is now open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
