In late-2016, word came about that Thomas Keller’s much rumored restaurant was finally coming to South Florida and nearly a year-and-a-half later more details around his first Florida restaurant are finally being revealed.
Housed within the Surf Club Property (9101 Collins Avenue) — which reps make very clear is not in the Four Seasons hotel and separate from the hotel— the aptly named The Surf Club Restaurant by Chef Thomas Keller will feature the chef’s take on “continental American cuisine.” Think dishes like beef wellington, ribeye, roast chicken for two, lobster thermidor, and coconut cake.
The look and feel of the space will take a nod to the property’s storied and glamorous past, just like the property’s other restaurant, Le Sirenuse. The property has tapped Martin Brudnizki Design Studio’s interiors to design the space, who is the same team behind London spots like The Ivy and Annabel’s. The space itself will feature plenty blues and corals, art deco eta chandeliers, timber paneling, a beaded ceiling, and mirrored details.
The restaurant is expected to debut this summer. Stay tuned for more details.
