Chef, restauranteur and James Beard award winner, Michael Schwartz, is adding yet another restaurant to his ever growing portfolio. Today his restaurant group, The Genuine Hospitality Group — who’s behind Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Genuine Pizza, Harry’s Pizzeria, ella, Fi’lia, Amara at Pariso, and the forthcoming Park Grove — announced a partnership with COMO Hotels and Resorts to open a new restaurant at COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach (2445 Collins Avenue) later this year in the Traymore Restaurant and Gin Bar.

The name and concept will be announced soon, Eater has been told. Along with rolling out new breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch menus, The Genuine Hospitality Group also will oversee food and beverage throughout the property including in-room dining service.

“For us, it’s always about more than the food. But the food is really important!” says Schwartz. “We are excited by the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a beautiful new environment and create something delicious – especially on Miami Beach where the spirit and soul is layered and strong.”

For the space Schwartz will collaborate again with Meyer Davis Studio — designers of Amara at Paraiso and Park Grove — to “refresh the space,” mixing art deco and industrial elements.

The new restaurant plans to be open by the 2018-19 season. Stay tuned for more updates.
