The Co-Founder of Lucali Debuts His New Casual Brooklyn-Style Pizzeria

First of two locations in the Magic City

Dominic Cavagnuolo, one of the men behind popular pizza joint Lucali Miami, is bringing his more casual, counter-service eatery DC Pie Co. by Lucali (1010 Brickell Avenue) to Brickell in early November.

The menu at DC Pie Co. is similar to its famous pizzeria counterpart. The menu includes 15-inch pies with a variety of mix-and-match toppings to choose from, alongside Lucali’s meatballs, salads, and brick-oven prepared items such as hot wings, pepperoni chips, and baked artichokes. A side of the house marinara sauce can even be ordered, just like at Lucali. Adjacent to DC Pie Co. is Dom’s Brickell, a cozy cocktail bar that boasts a large menu of spritz drinks, wines, beer, and cocktails.

“When I opened Lucali Miami six years ago I knew it was just the beginning,” says Cavagnuolo. “DC Pie Co. is a more casual and approachable concept providing the same great food and atmosphere Lucali Miami is known for while implementing table-side technology to enhance the guest experience in today’s fast-paced world.”

The 150-seat, 3,000-square-foot eatery features two indoor and outdoor bars and a patio. Each table features “pop-up” menu-ordering tablets allowing guests to order and pay at the table while helping eliminating wait times, which is something Lucali is well-known for.

DC PIE CO. Brickell will be open Sunday through Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Dom’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Friday and Saturday 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, please visit here.
