Sneakerheads will unite at Grails Sports Bar (2800 North Miami Avenue) the new sneaker-themed bar in Wynwood from The Cocktail Cartel team and Eating House chef, Giorgio Rapicavoli, which is inspired by the group’s lifetime love for sneakers and sneaker culture.
Like any proper sports bar, plenty of cold beverages are on hand — some even served out of ceramic sneaker glassware. Think updates to classic cocktails like the Satisfy Your Sole made with vodka, lemon verbena, ginger, watermelon, and lime, alongside an extensive tap list showcasing local South Florida breweries. As for food, the menu is self-described as “elevated bar food” offering items like pork wings, buffalo cauliflower, crispy queso blanco, and a burger topped with smoked bacon, crispy onion straws, and its house Grails sauce.
Grails, which in sneaker culture refers to those sneakers that are highly sought after and hard to obtain, boasts more than sixty TVs between their indoor and outdoor seating areas and there’s no such thing as a bad seat to catch a game. The decor inside is inspired by Jordan’s sneakers with a lot of red and black, “grails” adorning the walls, and street art by local artists. Grails is now open daily from noon to 1 a.m.
