Menin Hospitality, the team behind the mega-popular South Beach taco spot and late night drinking den, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, are opening a location in Fort Lauderdale. The group has signed a 10-year lease in the Bryan building in downtown Fort Lauderdale at 21 West Las Olas Boulevard that is slated to open in the spring of 2020.
Bodega Taqueria y Tequila Fort Lauderdale will mirror the South Beach location, doubling as a taco joint and a late night “hidden” lounge and bar. Open daily, the front half will be a taqueria with guests ordering from a full-sized, retrofitted vintage airstream trailer turned into a taco truck. Inside the restaurant, a door will lead guests to Bodega’s late-night bar, which will be open until 5 a.m. nightly, just like the Miami Beach outpost.

“Bodega is a staple of Menin Hospitality’s portfolio and a brand that we’ve always known we would expand,” says Jared Galbut, co-founder and managing principal of Menin Hospitality. “For a long time, we’ve had our eyes and ears open for the perfect spot in Fort Lauderdale and we’re thrilled to have finally found it. This is just the beginning for the continued expansion of the Bodega brand.”
And that’s true, with Bodega having locations on Miami Beach, the American Airlines Arena, and just opening a six-month pop-up location in the Miami Design District. The group also plans to debut their popular hotel The Gale in Fort Lauderdale later this year.
