Little Havana Gets a Hip New Veggie Focused Eatery

Called Parcela, it’s located inside the new Life House Hotel

Another eatery has joined the ever-growing Little Havana food scene. Housed inside the new Life House Hotel, Parcela (528 SW 9th Avenue) is a nod to the urban agriculture movement of Havana, Cuba, and it opens to the public this Monday.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. For breakfast, expect dishes like the Mallorca made with eggs, sausage, white cheese, and a sweet mallorca bun; the Florida Aguacate, a vegan dish with True Loaf toast, avocado, roasted tomato, cucumber, and hemp seed mix; as well as an assortment of pastelitos like the Frita Pastelito and Pastelito de Mamey con Queso, which is also vegan.

For lunch and dinner, customers can order from a selection of salads, bowls, and sandwiches like the Pan con Bistec made with churrasco or adasha, for a vegan twist, and the Havana Club Sandwich with ham, chicken, white cheddar, lime aioli, tomato, and bacon.

The cafe serves coffee and tea from Per’La Roasters and JoJo Tea, wit Cuban options like coladas, cortaditos, cafe con leche, tres leche lattes and more. For more adult beverages, it features a natural and organic wine program from Spain and Latin America and local beers.

Parcels is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 528 SW 9th Avenue.
