Take a Look Around the New and Improved Regent Cocktail Club

Now housed inside the former Rec Room space at the Gale Hotel

The Regent Cocktail Club (1690 Collins Avenue) has relaunched at the Gale South Beach, moving into the larger former Rec Room space. For this new version of the bar, it has tapped the Bar Lab team to create the cocktail menu and also has introduced a menu of bar bites.

The bar originally opened in 2012, and received numerous accolades including “Top Ten Hotel Bars in the World” at New Orleans’ Tales of the Cocktail awards and helped solidify the bartending star power of Julio Cabrera and John Lermayer. The new bar menu features Latin-inspired beverages like a Guava Paloma, a coconut washed Coco-Chi Chi Daquiri, Platano Fashioned made with a maduro reduction, and the Champiña made with passionfruit liqueur. And a few of the cocktails can be prepared large-format, meant to be shared between 3 to 4 guests.

A small bites menu is now also available to soak up all those beverages with items like cheese or potato croquettes, chicken or beef empanadas, chips and guacamole, and meat and cheese plate. That bar also features a music lineup through the weekend featuring local artists and DJs.

The space itself, which is operated by LDV Hospitality, which also owns and operates Scarpetta Restaurants and Dolce Italian at The Gale, is “inspired by warm Havana nights” and can hold up to 175 people — far more than its previous location. The space boasts leather seating, bright rugs, tropical wallpaper, and wood paneling on the walls.

The Regent is now open Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday until 3 a.m. and can be accessed through Dolce Italian. Call 786-975-2550 for more information.
