Brickell’s Conrad Miami hotel has a brand new eatery, Nativo Kitchen & Bar (1395 Brickell Avenue). Helmed by chef Pablo Lamon, who appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef season 16, it showcases “Miami cuisine” with plenty of Latin American influences.
On the menu diners can choose from dishes like causa de pulpo, green apple crudo with sashimi, beet hummus, steamed fish, beet glazed short ribs, foie gras terrine, goat cheese gnocchi, ribeye, and hibiscus creme caramel. Drinks are updated takes on classics like the Tainted Love with vodka, strawberry-infused Nardini amaro, sisho cordial, and ginger beer, or the Tourist in Manhattan with rye, rhubarb amaro, sorry, miso-infused banana du Brazil, and sesame oil. And in true hotel restaurant fashion, Nativo offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as daily happy hour with $7 drinks and a prix fixe executive lunch for $26.
The space got a serious facelift from its predecessor, Atrio, thanks to interior designer Champalimaud. The design is a departure from traditional business hotels, boasting colors like emeralds, pinks, and geometric shapes. Taking center stage in the space is a custom chandelier designed by Champalimaud in collaboration with Lasvit, and a large bar that features views of Biscayne Bay and a dining room and private dining room areas that offer seating for 131 guests.
Nativo Kitchen & Bar is now open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with brunch planned later this winter. For more information call 305-503-6529.
