Wynwood brewery Veza Sur hosts virtual happy hours via Zoom with the next one taking place this Friday, March 27 at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to log in and mingle while enjoying a live set by local DJ Ka5. Cafe La Trova
Cafe La Trova’s Head bartender and cantinero Julio Cabrera is teaching at home bartenders his best tips, tricks, and recipes, daily on his Instagram at 6 p.m. If there were ever a time to spruce up those bartending skills, this is certainly it — and he is one of Miami’s best to learn from. For those that miss the live airing, the classes are also uploaded onto his Instagram TV page along with the restaurant’s.
Vinya
Local Miami wine subscription box service and now online wine market, Vinya, is hosting weekly virtual wine tastings on its Instagram channel every Friday at 7:30 p.m. The tastings are open to anyone, and the featured wine is revealed at the beginning of each week and is sold in Vinya Market, which guarantees delivery to Miami customers in time for the virtual tasting. For subscribers of the monthly box, two out of the four tastings each month will feature wines from the current box.
Five Drinks
Canned and ready-to-drink cocktail creators Five Drinks is getting into the drinking spirit every day 5 p.m. offering everything from virtual bar crawls with games, cocktail how-to videos with bartenders from spots like Casa Florida and The Sylvester, and even a virtual tip jar in place for local bartenders. Yelp Miami
Yelp Miami is hosting virtual weekend happy hours on its Instagram live beginning today. Every Friday and Saturday it’ll feature different Miami-area bartenders and restaurants teaching followers how to make their signature concoctions along with classic cocktails. This week’s lineup includes Jaguar Sun on Friday at 6 p.m. and The Sylvester Bar on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Kilgores
Culinary power duo, Soraya and Brad Kilgore, have taken to their Instagram accounts almost daily to do cooking demos, answer questions, and share their wealth of culinary knowledge. They are hosting anti-social happy hour on Saturdays from 6 to 7 p.m. and wine tastings every Wednesday.
