For those missing food events after being bundled inside for almost a year, online restaurant booking app Resy has a solution: the Resy Drive-Thru, where guests can dine on a 10-course tasting menu from the comfort and safety of their own car on the evenings of March 18 or 19. The impressive culinary lineup for the event includes chefs like Michelle Bernstein, Michael Schwartz, Timon Balloo, José Mendín, alongside restaurants like Mr. Mandolin, Carbone Miami, Osaka Nikkei, and Planta.

While chefs will not approach cars due to COVID-19 safety precautions, each will be visible preparing their dish in a socially distanced tent, and each course — delivered through car windows — is accompanied by an audio explanation and music tracks to match.

The event will take place at 1 Herald Plaza. Tickets go on sale today 10 a.m. for American Express Gold Card Members who also get extra perks like a dedicated car lane, extra course from L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, and entry to an immersive donut tunnel that simulates a donut being made; at the exit of the tunnel those vehicles will be gifted a never-before seen donut from The Salty Donut. Tickets to the general public Friday at 10 a.m. The Resy Drive-Thru debuted in Los Angeles in October 2020 with its 600 tickets selling out in under 15 minutes — so grab them quick here.

SOBEWFF’s Food Market Returns to Lincoln Road

After a successful first run last month, the SOBEWFF Artisan Food Market on Lincoln Road is back this Sunday, February 28, with a brand new line-up of Miami-based vendors — like 2 Korean Girls, Bagel Balls, Pastelito Papi — along with a special edition Popeyes food truck which will be giving away 500 free Chicken Sandwiches on a first come, first serve basis. The market runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tropical Drinks To-Go Courtesy of Mai Kai

The temporarily shuttered, longstanding tiki bar Mai Kai is returning this week. Well, sort of. On February 26 and 27 it is selling its famous cocktails to go. Guests can order three different cocktails by the gallon or quart including the Barrel O’Rum, Mai Tai, and Jet Pilot. Call 954-646-8975 by 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 to place an order.

Bingo... With Chickens?

Kush Hialeah is debuting its newest monthly event on February 28, taking place on the last Sunday of every month, Kok Sh*t Bingo in combination with Vintage Flea, the restaurant’s new outdoor flea market. During the event, guests purchase drinks to earn a free raffle ticket with a number on it. At exactly 3:05 p.m. a live chicken will be placed in an outdoor chicken coop with a bingo board below it. Whatever number the chicken poops on is the winner. We’re told the entire process can take five minutes or an hour. Raffle tickets are limited, but can be obtained with the purchase of any featured cocktail by Skyy Vodka or by donating to Miami Animal Rescue, which earns attendees two tickets.
