Grupo Mandolina, a hospitality group from Mexico City, has brought Giorgina by Grupo Mandolina to Wynwood, offering Coastal Italian fare under a ceiling adorned with over 5,000 lemons on vines.
Giorgina, known as Mandolina in Mexico City, covers 4,500 square feet and accommodates 130 guests. Designed to evoke the charm of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, it features modern architecture, a citrus-inspired color scheme, and a distinctive ceiling that’s perfect for the ‘gram.
Led by executive chef Hector Caspio and chef consultant Federico Tischler, Giorgina’s dinner menu offers classic Italian dishes with creative twists. The menu includes pasta Giorgina, grilled octopus over creamy cannellini beans, whole roasted sea bream with garlic confit, and veal scallopini, served on custom china plates by designer Adriana Castro. Guests can also choose from pizzettes like the Margherita and three cheese truffle. The Inmenso chocolate cake and gooseberry panna cotta are standout choices for dessert. On weekends, Giorgina serves brunch, offering coffee, pastries, and favorites like the Giorgina French toast, croissant egg benedict over pastrami, and two-sauce chilaquiles.
The open-air restaurant, designed by Bea Pernia of Bea Interior Design and Jafif Arquitectos from Mexico City, focuses on a casual beverage program. The cocktail menu includes classic Negronis and drinks that blend Italian and Mexican liqueurs, with drinks like the Lemon and Sunshine and Blushing Mojito.
Giorgina by Grupo Mandolina is at 2700 North Miami Avene in Wynwood. It is open daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and for brunch on weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information or reservations call 786-542-5185.
