A burger is one of those items that just about every restaurant has on their menu. It's a dish that can be eaten (by just Americans?) at any meal and at any hour of the day. Here are some of the new, the note-worthy, and those that have stood the test of time to stay neck-and-neck with the young and hip.

It's still difficult at times to get a reservation, but if you're able to get through the doors, the burger at 27 is worth pouncing on. Here are the details: 8oz Black Angus burger, House-Cured Bacon and Jalapeño Jam, Cheddar, Brioche, Fries. By the time you remember your drink you'll be trying to lift one of their signature cocktails with both palms in between greasy fingers.
The American Social in Brickell is still only a few months old, but that doesn't mean it's not carrying some of the weight of its older brother in Las Olas, last year's winner of the 2014 Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk Burger Battle. The Miami "Heater" Burger is still bringing in hungry mouths with its combination of chuck, brisket, and short rib with a melty Boursin cheese center, jalapeño bacon wrapping, and finally topped with truffled shitakes, pesto mayo, and onion bun.
Because in Miami you may need a hangover cure any hour of the day.The Hangover Burger should help you feel better after a long night out with thick cut bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, a fried egg, sweet potato fries, they just don't guaranty you'll be able to move after you've finished it.
It's hard to say what this restaurant is more known for the barbeque or the burgers. Either way, Chef Howie "Bulldog" Kleinberg is throwing down some straight-up, no-frills hamburgers. You can try at building your own burger from 23 different items or your can trust the chef and stick with some of the more popular choices like The Heat with bacon, jalapeno marmalade, fried pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and house sauce, or go against the grain and order The Luther with crispy bacon, carmelized onions, cheddar, house sauce, and a Krispy-Kreme inspired sugar glazed bun.
hey named it the Knife & Fork Burger for a reason. You know you're in for a culinary adventure when they tell you in the name that you're going to need utensils to eat it. The 8oz certified Angus burger is tossed at you within moments of ordering (see Bravo's Best New Restaurant) along with onions, that leafy green stuff, special sauce, on a brioche bun. And, you can always spruce it up by adding mushrooms, bacon, fontina, or a fried egg.
An ingenious take on the brunch burger by combining the traditional Italian breakfast pasta and the American need for more than just pancetta. The Carbonara Burger comes with applewood bacon, black truffle, Grana cheese, and a fried egg.
Fooq's Burger is as good as it looks on Instagrm above hashtags of #feelgoodfood, #foodporn, and #flavorful. When you smash skirt steak, brisket and shortrib together add gooey Jarlsberg, the fresh crunch of beefsteaks, onions, and lettuce, and finish with a special sauce on toasted brioche it's easy to rack up a lot of hearts.
The Original burger at Latin House is “THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL” for a reason. It may be one of the longest standing champs of burger competitions, but only because it continues to amaze year after year. The burger is made with brisket, sirlion, chuck, topped with three cheeses, two strips of thick cut apple-wood smoked maple glazed bacon, grilled onions, mushrooms, and avocado-lime sauce.
It's not a hard transition when you're making one of the best grilled cheeses to slide a burger patty in there and then start making one of the best cheese burgers. The Patty Melt pours chorizo pimento cheese over a brisket and prime chuck burger with house-cured bacon in between Ms. Cheezious' signature sourdough bread.
You can't expect anything less than a gourmet burger from Seaspice. The lunch and dinner hot spot is flipping Wagyu burgers alongside the Miami River topped with buratta, heirloom tomatoes and a truffle vinaigrette.
Ted's is the hidden gem tucked away at the YoungArts Foundation with one of the best happy hours in the city where you can get great food and watch live performing art. The beef sliders with house made brioche, Gruyere, and red wine onions maybe one of the smallest burgers on the list, but still packs a wicked punch of flavor.
We've heard a lot about Vagabond the last couple of months from the hotel and decor to chef Alex Chang, his cooking style, and unique culinary experience, but finally a dish has risen to the top of all the buzz to sit above the rest: the burger. Dry aged beef amid American cheese, B&B pickle, lettuce, remoulade all on a potato bun and alongside crispy French fries- the burger is still on the menu by popular demand.
Yardbird has been running a special 10oz burger lately with a combination of ground fillet, strip, chuck, and brisket with a duck fat dijonaise, Gruyère cheese, and fresh brioche bun coming from La Provence bakery just down the road from their South Beach location. Let's just hope they can clear some space for a permanent home on the menu for it.
