Note: Restaurants on this map are listed geographically.

1. Lucali

1930 Bay Rd
Miami Beach, FL 33139
New York-import Lucali was simply expected to be good when it opened a location down here, and it was. Everything pizza-related at this spot, although pricey, is completely delicious, including the calzone.

2. Stanzione 87

87 SW 8th St
Miami, FL 33130
Eater readers emailed us, tweeted us, commented on our site and did everything they could to tell us how good Stanzione's calzone is. According to owner Franco Stanzione, it's made using a traditional Naples recipe, but you can read all about that here.

3. Mike's Pizza

A trip to Kendall might be in order for what one reader calls "the most amazing calzone." There's just the one, but apparently that's more than enough. It's filled with pepperoni, ham, ricotta cheese, parmesan and a splash of black pepper.

4. Steve's Pizza

12010 Biscayne Blvd
Miami, FL 33181

What's bad at Steve's Pizza? Absolutely nothing. It stands to reason then that their calzone is also not bad. It's a classic, filled with ricotta, mozzarella and extremely flavorful grease (that part tastes as good as it sounds bad).

5. The Big Cheese of Miami

The Big Cheese has been around for over 20 years, which is probably why it knows how to make everything it does so well. Cue the calzone. It's got ham, onions, ricotta, mozzarella, and garlic sauce. You can also order a huge, family-sized version of it. Or, opt for the option that's part calzone part stromboli? Yep.

6. Piccolo Pizza

Piccolo Pizza goes widly unnoticed because of it's pretty random location in a strip mall on 123rd, but it really shouldn't. Several Eater readers named the Piccolo Calzone (tomato sauce, mozzarella, provolone, romano, asiago) as the best in Miami. Don't stop at that one though, they apparently have three other types.
