Abbey Brewing Co.

Though The Abbey's undergone an expansion and is now way larger than when it originally opened in 1995, the low key brewpub still feels cozy. Stop by and let owner/brewmaster Raymond Ragazzio's pour you a beer any day.

Club Deuce

The Deuce, as it's known to locals, has been around nearly 50 years and remains a SoBe staple. It's even one of Anthony Bourdain's favorites.

Free Spirits Sports Cafe

A random "sports cafe" at the Days Inn on 20 Street, Free Spirits is actually a decent-sized dive with pool tables, darts, a jukebox, and friendly staff. Worlds away from the typical SoBe scene.

Kill Your Idol

The smaller counterpart to Lost Weekend on Española Way has more of a punk rock vibe and plenty of odd decorations to look at. Stop by for happy hour from 7 to 10 p.m. when drinks are half-priced.

Lost Weekend

Not a bad place to get lost, the larger bar connected to Kill Your Idol is great for playing pool, putting tunes on the jukebox, ordering cheap drinks, and satisfying late night cravings.

Purdy Lounge

This locals hangout, a lounge with a large space (there's a main room and a back room) and comfy couches, is called "dirty Purdy" by locals for a reason. Go for reggae on Mondays, a nightcap on any night of the week, or for Chocolate Sundays, one of the best, sweaty, hip-hop parties in Miami and find out for yourself.

Ted's Hideaway

Hidden in SoBe's South of Fifth neighborhood just off Ocean Drive, Ted's is a no-frills bar next to The Big Pink with strong drinks and a pool table.

The Bar

A perfect hangout for locals in the Gables area, this sometimes rowdy bar is great for watching games and grabbing a cheap drink any time.

The Filling Station

This place not only has a great happy hour (Mon-Sat 3 to 7 p.m.) with $3 craft beer cans and a $5 food menu, but their chicken wings have also recently been dubbed "the best" by Miami New Times. Also cool: they host trivia nights.

Tobacco Road

Though it closes in just a few days, there's no way we couldn't include Tobacco Road in this map. Arguably Miami's most iconic dives, the 102 year old bar is the ideal neighborhood spot with plenty of cheap booze and all sorts of entertainment.
