Goose Island Beer Co. is coming to South Florida on Monday, October 12, for Migration Week. It's when beer experts and brewers from Goose Island HQ in Chicago will bring delicious and inventive brews from their secret stash to the Miami area for a week of parties and events. You'll have a chance to sample new brews, learn about the craft, and share your passion for all things beer with like-minded fans. Check out this map for details on each event, and visit Goose Island's website for more information.Read More

Cork and Stogie
Celebration of Beer, a Goose Island Beer Co. tradition, arrives in South Florida with a party at Corg and Stogi — home of the closest wine, beer, and cigars to Cuba — on Monday, October 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. Some of the brewery’s most treasured and rare beers will leave Chicago to make a special appearance at the event. Join them for a pint.
In classic Key West style, Celebration of Beer continues a few blocks up Duval at Porch, a craft-beer bar. The Goose Island team will be there on Monday, October 12, from 9 to 11 p.m., with more special brews from Chicago to show off.
Migration Week gets a little less laid back when it leaves the Keys for the Kick-Off Party in Miami on Tuesday, October 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. Join the Goose Island team at Cuban Crafters as they kick off Miami Migration Week with music, local food, and hand-rolled cigars. Rare Goose beers will be served, including Bourbon County Stout and BCS Vanilla Rye, plus there’ll be some very unique raffle prizes.
For this Chef Meets Brewer Dinner, executive chef Thomas Prado and Goose Island brewer Bjorn Johnson have teamed up for a special New American meal that’s perfectly paired with a selection of Goose Island beers. Make a reservation at the Golden Fig to get in on the food-and-beer goodness, served on Wednesday, October 14, from 7 to 10 p.m.
After the Chef Meets Brewer Dinner, it’s time for another Celebration of Beer. Swing by American Social, a beer-centric restaurant overlooking the Miami River, on Wednesday, October 14, from 10 p.m. to midnight, and check out some great and rare Goose Island beers.
On Thursday, October 15, from 3 to 5 p.m., it’s time to Meet the Brewer. Goose Island’s Bjorn Johnson will be at Mega Liquors to talk about his delicious beers, and I’ll also announce the winner of Miami Migration Week social-media photo contest. He’ll be offering a whole bunch of Goose Island’s Bourbon County Stouts, including BCS 2014, BCS Coffee, BCS Barleywine, and BCS Vanilla Rye.
It doesn’t get much better than dessert for dinner, unless you pair some of Goose Island’s amazing and rare beers with those dessert courses. Come join the Migration Week team as they host a Sweets and Sours event at Boxelder on Thursday, October 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will be a casual, but the beers and desserts will not.
There’ll be more Bourbon County Stouts to drink at another Celebration of Beer, at Kush on Thursday, October 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. The Goose Island team will be bringing more of their treasured beers on a rare trip south from Chicago.
Total Wine & Spirits
At the grand opening of Total Wine & Spirits on Friday, October 16, the Goose Island Migration Week team will be on hand to talk shop, sample great beers, and give away some fantastic prizes. Brewer Bjorn Johnson will be on hand from 3 to 6 p.m., with plenty of Bourbon County Stouts.
The Goose Island team is coming to sunny Florida, and they’re going to want to go fishing. They’re serious about supplying the freshest beer to the market, so they figured they’d apply the same passion to dinner. For the first-ever Migration Week Catch, Cook, and Consume Beer Dinner, the team will head out to sea Friday, October 16, to hook dinner, which will then be prepared by their friends at R House. Come out from 7 to 9 p.m. for some fresh fish and fresh Goose Island beers. Call R House for a reservation.
All good things must come to an end, including Miami Migration Week. On Friday, October 16, starting at 9 p.m., the Goose Island team will be saying goodbye at Brickhouse, with the help of a DJ, live barrel art installments, and tallboys. Stop by to say goodbye to the Goose Islanders the same way you said hello, beer in hand.
